Textoftheday is pleased to announce its second artist's residency. For seven days from Monday April 12 we will host a series of images from the works and walks of Lizzie Calligas. Calligas is one of Greece’s leading artists. Her work includes photography, video and drawing and addresses shared social and historic spaces, both public and private. Her exhibition Metoikesis opens at the Contemporary Art Centre,Thessaloniki on 24 April 2010, and then transfers to the Benaki Museum, Athens. Metoikesis will be accompanied by a bilingual 128 page catalogue, published by Cube Art Editions with texts by Syrago Tsiara, Christina Petrinou, Claire MacDonald, John Stathatos, Christina Vlassopoulou and Aliki Tsirgialou.
